The Blue Moon Dinner Theatre announced it will present “Steel Magnolias” which will run from July 10 to Sept. 2.
In preparation for the show, the Blue Moon will hold open auditions for remaining roles on at 7 p.m. May 2.
“Steel Magnolias” is set in Truvy's beauty salon in Chinquapin Parish, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are "anybody" come to have their hair done.
The play is filled with hilarious repartee, humorously revealing verbal collisions, and a touch of sadness. As the ladies come face to face with trying times, they draw on the underlying strength and love, which give the play, and its characters, the special quality that makes them truly touching, funny and marvelously amiable company in good times and bad.
The Blue Moon is casting the roles of M'Lynn (female, mid-forties) and Annelle (female, late teens or early twenties).
Anyone interested in auditioning for a role should contact the Blue Moon by emailing backstage@BlueMoonDinnerTheatre.com or calling (423)232-1350.
