APRIL 21, 2010 – KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – If you’re hungry on April 23, World’s Fair Park is the place to go!
The Pork Knox-Q Fest BBQ Championship, a Kansas City BBQ Society Sanctioned BBQ contest, will be cooking up good things on April 23 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on April 24 from 10 a.m. – 6p.m.
More than 30 teams from across the country will come to Knoxville to show off their skills in barbequing Boston butts, pork ribs, chicken and brisket. Along with some of the most delicious BBQ in the Southeast, there will be cooking demonstrations, activities for children, multiple food vendors, arts & crafts, dancing and live music.
All proceeds from the Pork Knox-Q Fest Barbeque Championship go directly to the programs and services offered by disABILITY Resource Center. The dRC is the only disability service agency in the Knoxville community that serves people with all types of disabilities and all ages.
