After four days of early voting being held in Seymour, the turn out hasn’t exactly been what was expected.
The total number of early voters on April 15, 16, 17, and 19 at the Seymour Library was 196.
This number is “a little bit lighter” than what Sevier County Election Commission officials expected, but they would like to remind voters that there is still one day to vote early in Seymour.
The last day to place an early vote at the Seymour Library, 127 W. Macon Lane, is April 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Voters are asked to enter through the library’s side door to expedite the voting process.
Early voting in Sevierville at the Voting Machine Warehouse, 1145 Dolly Parton Parkway, will be held until April 29, with the exception of Sunday, with voting hours taking place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. until noon Saturday.
Any resident who is registered to vote in Sevier County can place an early vote at either location.
The Sevier County Republican and Democratic Primaries will be held May 4.
