The City of Sevierville Department of Public Works announced the temporary closure of a section of Ernest McMahan Road near Shannon Green subdivision beginning April 26.
     Weather and other conditions permitting, the work will be completed by the end of the day on April 30.
     The work necessitates the closure of Ernest McMahan Road, just north of the intersection with Pullen Road, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
     Traffic will be detoured off of Ernest McMahan Road onto Shannon Circle in Shannon Green subdivision. Motorists can expect delays while work is ongoing and may wish to choose an alternate route.
     Workers will be installing a new drain tile, replacing an old drain tile and cleaning-out ditches.
