The son of former Tennessee state comptroller William R. Snodgrass is the
scheduled speaker for the March 16, 2010 meeting of the Sevier County Republican
Party. The elder Snodgrass served a remarkable term of 44-years as the state Comptroller
of the Treasury and was honored by the Tennessee State Assembly when they named the
William R. Snodgrass-Tennessee Tower in Nashville in his honor. He passed away in
April of 2008.
His son continues the long family tradition of service to Tennessee and to the
Republican Party. Bill has a distinguished record as a consultant in various party
situations and currently serves as an advisor for Dr. Phil Roe, Representative from
Tennessee’s first congressional district.
The regular meeting of the Sevier County Republican Party is set to begin with an
invocation and the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:00 p.m. in the Sevier County Commission
chambers on the third floor of the county courthouse. The meeting is open to anyone
interested. Admission is free to all.
