According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals three Sevier County residents are in custody after attempting an armed robbery at the Valley Mart Exxon in Wears Valley.
Seals states that at approximately 1:34pm on Friday Feb. 19th 2010, 911 received a call from the Valley Mart Exxon on Wears Valley Road stating that a subject came into the store wearing a hoodie and a grey toboggan over his face and brandished a knife and demanded money from the clerk.
The store manager and another patron chased the subject out of the store before the would be robbery got any money and he ran got into a red Saturn Ion with another male and fled the scene with the manager and customer in chase.
Deputies responded and Officer Ronnie Reagan. After encountering the manager on the road, spotted the suspect vehicle in a driveway on Lyon Springs Road.
Reagan approached the car and took a male and female into custody at that time and determined that a third male had exited the car and ran on foot. A search was initiated and the Sheriffs Office was assisted by Pigeon Forge PD K-9 Units, Blount Co Sheriffs Office, National Park Service Rangers and Knox Co. Sheriffs Office Aviation Unit.
A short time later a male subject matching the description of the subject and identified as Bradley Taylor was spotted by Blount Co. S.O. Cpl. Joey Parton near a home on Abbott. Parton was taken into custody without incident after being identified as the subject that attempted to rob the store.
Charged in connection with the Robbery is Bradley Edward Taylor, age 27 of 1350 Upper Middle Creek Road Sevierville, Nathan Bart King, age 22 of 3370 Bell Road and Karissa Rose Beaty- King age 20 of 3370 Bell Road Sevierville. Bradley Taylor and Nathan King are charged with Aggravated Robbery and Karissa Beaty-King is charged with accessory after the fact of Aggravated Robbery. All 3 are being held in Sevier Co. Jail pending arraignment before a Magistrate.
