Sevierville Police Department officers responded to a reported armed robbery at CVS Pharmacy, 718 Winfield Dunn Parkway (Highway 66) at approximately 5:30 p.m. Monday.
According to SPD Officer Bryan Shiver, a man allegedly approached a pharmacy employee and presented a letter stating he had a gun and wanted oxycontin pills.
The employee complied and the man left the store. It is believed he fled the area in a white Ford Ranger pick-up truck. Responding officers were unable to locate the suspect.
The suspect is described as a 25 to 35 year old white male, 5-feet-8-inches to 5-feet-10-inches tall, 180 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a black tweed or wool jacket, brown toboggan and blue jeans.
The suspect reportedly had two band aids on his lips, which may have been covering identifying features; the band aids may also have been meant to distract witnesses.
Anyone with information pertaining to this event is requested to contact SPD Detective Ray Brown at (865) 453-5506.
