Earlier this week the Sevier County Economic Development Council released it quarterly report for October, November and December of 2009.
The report covered the details of recent projects including the Ambulance Service Building, Sevier County Library, the old hospital, the Sevier County Tourism Committee, the SmartCard Health Program, the stadium and Lisega.

The Economic Development Council has been assisting the Assistant County Mayor with the evaluation of space in the old hospital. The council is beginning to meet with possible tenants about potential costs and their desire to be in the building.
A new Sevier County Lodging Web site has been launched by the Sevier County Tourism Committee. The new URL for the site is visitmysmokies.com.
The Development Committee, in conjunction with Cariten/Humana, is working to promote county health programs such as the SmartCard Health Program. Committee members are currently meeting with insurance agents to help promote the sale of this health product.
The new Smoky Mountain Light Christmas Show was held in November and December at the stadium. Over 16,500 cars went through the show.
The last item of the report states that Lisega has closed on their site and site construction has started. They began bidding the construction of the building in early February.
