A female pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Chapman Highway across from Smoky Crossing Feb. 9 just after 5 p.m.
A female with a 3-month-old baby in the car was turning from Down Home Park Lane onto Chapman Highway towards Hwy 411 when she saw a woman walking in front of her.
“I didn’t see her until she was right in front of me,” the driver of the vehicle told the Seymour Herald. “It looked like I barely hit her because she even caught herself before she hit the ground.”
The woman that was hit is an employee at Taco Bell. Elizabeth Bradbury was walking to work when she was struck.
The driver of the vehicle and her baby reported to be uninjuried.
The Sevier County Ambulance attended to her and transported Bradbury to a local hospital for examination.
The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, The Sevier County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Tennessee Highway Partrol all assisted at the accident.
