

According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals three Sevier County residents have been arrested and charged with burglary.
Seals states that on Monday January 25th at around 9:50 AM Sevier County Sheriffs Office received a call of a suspicious vehicle on Red Bud Lane off Newport Highway.
Deputies responded to the area and Officer Clint Parton spotted a car in the area matching the description. Upon further investigation he conducted a traffic stop.
Officers found several items in the car that were later identified as coming from a home that had been burglarized on Red Bud Lane a short time earlier.
Arrested and charged with aggravated burglary was Michael W. Scott, age 34 and Jamey L. Scott, age 31 both of 1234 Flat Creek Road and James J. Carr, age 31 of 3282 Nuns Cove Road.
Michael Scott was also charged with Possession of Schedule II and IV narcotics also. The trio were transported to Sevier Co. Jail where they were arraigned before a magistrate and a bond was set.
A February 22nd hearing date has been set in Sevier County General Session Court. Anyone with information about the subjects is asked to call Det. Johnny Bohanan at 428-1899.
