Large attendance but anemic bidding results in a NO-SALE of the property that Seymour RV is located on.
Even though the number of people that showed up for the auction would be considered a success, the bidding was miniscule.
“I was asking $750,000 and then decided to auction it off, but I’d be crazy to accept the bids the property brought at auction,” stated Tony Lewis, the owner of Seymour RV.
Several vehicles, RVs and incidental items were however successfully sold at the auction.
“We will be relocating our RV repair business but will be getting out of the RV sales as the banks have made it impossible to finance them,” Lewis told the Seymour Herald.
The auction was not advertised as “absolute” therefore there had to be approval of the acceptance of the bids.
