Tennessee junior safety Eric Berry was named All-America by the Football Writers Association of America on Saturday. Berry thus far has found his name on three All-America lists (also Walter Camp and AFCA) this postseason with several more yet teams to be announced.
The Fairburn, Ga., native won the Jim Thorpe Award presented to the nation's top defensive back earlier in the week and was a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy. He also may become the winner of the Lott Trophy, which is being announced later Sunday night.
Berry finished the regular season second on the team and second among SEC?defensive backs with 83 total tackles. He posted two interceptions and returned two fumbles for 48 yards.
