The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to 137 calls in November.
SVFD Chairman Ted Esch said in October that it was likely the number of fires would increase in November because of the cold weather.
However, November's number of calls is down slightly from October's 145 calls.
Day staffing answered 76 of the calls and 285 total man hours were put in responding to calls.
Of the 137 calls, 61 were for emergency medical service, 19 were motor vehicle accidents with two extrications, there were two structure fires, one vehicle fire, four brush fires, 21 canceled calls and 29 calls classified as “other.”
Sixty of the calls were made from Sevier County, 50 were made from Knox County and 27 were made in Blount County.
