The Election Commission approved a change of location for the Catlettsburg polling location.
    The new location will be at Catlettsburg Elementary located at 1409 Catlettsburg Rd. which is the down the street from the previous location at the Catlettsburg Head Start building located at the corner of Catlettsburg and Winfield Dunn.
    Lack of parking outside and space inside the previous polling place was the reason behind the move to the relatively new elementary school.
    “There are several rooms in the school we can use depending on which ones the commissioners want and that was the main reason,” said Administrator of Elections Ronee Flynn.
    Another positive about moving the location to the school is that the building is maintained year round and the commission would not have to make special arrangements in order to use the building.
    “In the previous building we would have to make arrangements with them ahead of time to have someone there,” Flynn said, “and we had to rent the parking lot from the store next door.
    “When the elementary school became available that was the best location for us.”
