Below is a link of coyote facts, about how they are good  at eating rodents and dead cattle and other animals. They are a misunderstood animal, and are often shot around here just for being on someone's property even though they show no signs of aggression.
Trust me I live in Seymour in farm land, farms all around me.
Here is a big problem most farms border the French broad river, so naturally coyote have to cross the farm land to get to river for water and dead fish, but they are often shot while trying to access the river by locals who are brainwashed into thinking they are supposed to shoot them even though they are not sure why.
Coyotes need their pack to survive, so losing one member is devastating to the pack emotionally and for their survival. They have mates and friends like we do and any other species so to lose a mate or cub is devastating. They are very similar to dogs they play, enjoy their life and love their babies, they feel pain and suffering, love and jealousy like any other creature so why are they treated with so little regard to their well-being? Do they not have a right to exist in the same world? Was this world not also created for them as well?
They are becoming more scarce every year. Soon they will be on the endangered species list like the wolves. But that is OK right? One day we will have a planet full of cattle and no wild life. Is that what we want? living on a farm, I can tell  you baby cows die all the time for no reason, if they are not found soon after death the coyote comes to scavenge on them which is natural. The next day, the coyote gets the blame for killing the calf after it is found with chew marks, I can tell you this happens all the time.
Coyote are very shy actually, they don't want trouble, they are not normally aggressive unless provoked or starving. Often the parent is shot and killed during breeding season leaving little orphans in the den to die a slow death of starvation.
Can you imagine being a playful little pup one day cozy in your den awaiting your mothers return with food but she never comes back.
Night comes and you are getting cold and weaker from lack of food and you realize mother is never coming back. You watch your siblings perish one by one. Can you imagine the terror and sadness these poor thing must feel.
Unfortunately local farmers dont think about those things or seem to care. But we have evolved enough  to develop a thing called empathy which is what is supposed to separate us from animals, the ability to feel the pain and suffering of others as well as other creatures.
Man needs to learn to work with nature, not destroy everything he cannot control or does not feel is an asset to him personally. Look around, this is what is happening all over the world, and it is selfish. Sometimes we must make small sacrifices for the good of the whole even if it comes a little out of our pocket because that is our job as a higher species, if we cannot do this then how far have we really come.
