Tailgaters and football fans should make plans to attend the seventh annual Phi Mu “Chili for the Children” event on Saturday, October 31.  This “Chili Supper” begins four hours before the kick-off of the University of Tennessee vs. South Carolina football game, and all of the proceeds benefit East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
“Chili for the Children” will be held on Fiji Island in front of Fraternity Park on the University of Tennessee campus.  Tickets are $5 in advance and at the door.  The ticket includes a bowl of chili, baked potato, dessert and a soft drink.
Phi Mu sorority at the University of Tennessee has been a long time supporter of Children’s Hospital.  The group has raised nearly $44,000 for the hospital in the past 13 years through a variety of special events.
For information about Phi Mu’s “Chili for the Children” call the Children’s Hospital Development Office at (865) 541-8441.
