The first round of 2AAA District volleyball bragging rights belong to  the Sevier Co. Lady Bearettes as they defeated Seymour on Tuesday  evening. After the first round Sevier Co. is 5-2 in district play  while Seymour managed a 2-5 record.
"The first two sets of the match were carbon copies", according to Coach Ed Irvin. "Sevier Co. jumped out to an early lead, and played in cruise control for the wins." said Irvin. The third set saw the Lady  Eagles jump out to a 9-3 lead, only to see Sevier Co. catch up on a  5-0 run. Seymour regrouped and jumped back into the lead at 18-13,  only to, once again, see their lead disappear for the final 25-20.
