The bidding was fierce and there was a victor. The auction of the property located at 434 Boyds Creek Hwy. in Seymour has gone to a new owner, Seymour Church of Christ who had the winning bid of $175,000 (plus 10% buyer's premium) on the corner lot that has been on the market since the owners passing. The church is currently located at 209 Chilhowee School Rd. in Seymour. Minister Tim Shoulders stated, "I'm very excited to be able to get such a great piece of property here in Seymour for us to build our church." Seymour Church of Christ will be holding a Friends and Family night on Saturday, July 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Their Vacation Bible School is July 26th to July 29th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  For more information on the church you can call Minister Shoulders at 865-414-4755.
