Suring the June board meeting, elections were held. Ted Esch has been re-elected as board member and chairman of the board by the fire department members.
Ron French was re-elected as vice-chair and Tim Greene was re-elected as secretary/treasurer.
SVFD recently purchased a truck from Hilton Head which they are in the process of putting into service as a crash truck.
Esch in an email to the Seymour Herald stated, “Future plans are simple, respond to the calls and remain financially stable which we are doing – when the economy turns we will consider other things.”
For the month of June the department had 158 total calls which consisted of
