Dear editor
A Kodak woman raised the question “instead of paying for abortion and aftercare, why don’t we provide for birth control and contraceptives?”
Answer: The very same people who appose abortion also appose birth control and contraceptives. That’s why.
This leaves us between Scylla and Charyblis, between two perils.
Neither of which can be evoked without risking the other.
The longing implied in this question is part of a many encompassing search for a new political, economic, and social order, a secular reforming and redirection of the other worldly passions and potencies of American Christianity.
Sincerely,
P.J. Pashal
