4-H members are recognized for their accomplishments during this 4-H year.
Elena Hollingsworth, Sevierville Intermediate School was recognized as the Outstanding 4-H Club Secretary for 2008-2009. The secretary award is based on club secretary records submitted for judging.
Olivia Pelham, Sevierville Intermediate School was named the
outstanding Service Learning Chairman for the County. This award is based
on service learning scrapbooks submitted for judging.
In individual project work, 265 4-H members received the 4-H Golden
Eagle Award. Golden Eagle Awards are presented to 4-H members for their
outstanding 4-H participation throughout the year.
The following 4th graders received the 4-H Explorer Award as they
were recognized for having the outstanding 4th grade 4-H Project work at
their school. They include: Makayla Spear – Catons Chapel; Brittany Boling
and Ethan Wallace – Pittman Center; Christopher Whaley – Pi Beta Phi;
Brittany Thurman – Pigeon Forge Primary; Taylor Banks – New Center; Trenton
Dombrowski and Tyler Dombrowski – Northview Elementary; Carah McClurg and
BJ Pettyman – Boyds Creek Elementary; Laura Allen – Seymour Intermediate;
Christy Newsome – Sevierville Intermediate.
5th – 12th grade 4-H members who were named county winners in their
individual project work include: Kelsey Baisden, Tiffany Baisden, Hunter
Greene and Samantha Greene – Homeschool; Blair Tinker and Jarely Canote -
Pigeon Forge Middle; Victoria Clements – Sevierville Middle; Kendra
Bartholomew – Pittman Center; Isheeta Mistry, Pi Beta Phi; Amber Galant,
Catons Chapel; Jesse Williams – New Center; Cameron Workman – Northview
Middle; Caleb Wilkinson – Wearwood; Ashley Kelly – Seymour Middle; Zach
Mize – Sevierville Intermediate; Christina Lulich – Gatlinburg Pittman High
School and JP Caylor – Sevier County High School.
