The Eagles are headed to the District 3-AA Championship after upending Carter in the opening round 12-1 in five innings, then again Monday night 7-0.

Carter beat the Eagles 3-2 earlier in the season, but you would have never known it from the opening round of the tournament. Seymour made quick work of Carter, taking the game in five innings with explosive hitting and solid pitching by Corbin Weaver.

Weaver took the win on the mound, pitching all five innings, striking out eight, walking two and allowing only three hits and one earned run.
The Eagles kicked off the scoring frenzy in the second inning with back-to-back doubles. Keegan Newport hit the first double and Brandon Timmerman followed, logging a double and an RBI.
