Despite a Tornado rally late in the game, the Lady Eagles were able to hang on to a 6-5 win over visiting Alcoa Thursday night.

Seymour wasted no time in building a lead over the Tornados, scoring in the bottom of the first off a Hailey Huelsman RBI double.

Alcoa tied it up in the top of the third with a sacrifice RBI to center field, but Seymour bounced back in the bottom of the inning when Heather Webster reclaimed the lead by blasting a home run over the centerfield wall.

Alcoa tied it up again in the fifth with a bunt down the third baseline. While it looked as though Webster's throw might have beaten the runner to the bag, the call was "safe," and the Lady Eagles took a 2-2 score in to the bottom of the inning.
