The Lady Eagles picked up another conference win, defeating Carter 3-0 at home Monday night with a solid pitching effort and some clutch hitting in the late innings.

The game was largely uneventful into the sixth inning as the score stayed tied at zero with neither team having much success at the plate.

However, Seymour lit it up in the bottom of the sixth to plate three runs on five hits. Kerigun Newport got it started for the Lady Eagles, making it to first on a single into the gap. Heather Webster then followed with a double to put two on base for Seymour. Hailey Huelsman was next with an RBI single to drive Newport home. Courtney Ervin logged the team's second RBI on a well placed bunt, and Tabitha Gibbs rounded out the scoring for the Eagles with an RBI single.
