This was also Ivey's first state debate. Fourteen students qualified to compete at this level from Seymour High School.
"I am so proud of the students. They have worked so hard all year and really deserve the recognition that they are receiving. They have represented Seymour with pride. When people ask what school we are from and we say Seymour, they really take notice. We are getting a reputation as a prestigious debate team. Thanks to the Seymour Herald fro their excellent coverage and support."
