Workers begin tearing down the old Sevier County Bank building at the corner of Chapman Higway and Boyds Creek Road. The bank itself is currently operating in its new facility directly behind the old building. Once the old building has been demolished, the land will be developed to provide additional parking for the bank's customers. R.B. Summit, the bank's president, says he expects the work will be completed by the end of May.
