Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center was recently recognized during the Prism awards banquet, at the annual Tennessee Society for Healthcare Marketing & Public Relations meeting. The Prism awards annually recognize outstanding achievements in healthcare marketing and public relations. The Prism competition is open to all healthcare organizations in Tennessee that primarily provide healthcare and to associate groups organized to support such delivery. The variety of categories is a sampling of what is produced by today's marketing and public relations professionals.
Amanda Brabson, Marketing & Communications Manager for Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center, received two Citation awards on behalf of the hospital. In the Marketing Category, FSSMC won a Citation for Excellence for the “Forget Me Not Mammogram Campaign.” In the Displays category, FSSMC won a Citation for Excellence for the “LeConte Medical Center Project Poster,” which illustrates the layout of the new medical campus, with information about the construction project.
Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center is a 79-bed acute care hospital and a 54-bed nursing home that has been serving the healthcare needs of Sevier County residents and visitors since 1965. LeConte Medical Center, the replacement hospital for Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center, will open in early 2010.
