
A joint investigation has led to the arrest of 2 men in connection with several trailer thefts in Sevier and surrounding counties.
According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals investigators from Cocke, Jefferson, Sevier, and Hamblen Counties participated in the investigation which led to the arrest.
On Tuesday April 7th Sevier Co. Detectives responded to Cocke County to assist in the investigation which led to the recovery of a utility trailer and also the seizure of a suspect’s vehicle that was used to steal the trailer.
Detectives have charged Samuel Davis Reagan age 22, of 4094 Byrds Cross Roads Sevierville, TN with theft over $5,000.00 and Benjamin O. Hill age 24, of 4119 Highway 411, Dandridge with Theft over $1,000.00, Theft over $5,000.00 and Theft over $10,000.00.
Hill is incarcerated in Sevier Co. Jail under a $20,000.00 bond and Reagan is free under a $7500.00 bond. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.
