The Sevier County Humane Society has suffered the theft of twelve “Dog Bank” donation receptacles throughout the community. 

The first theft was discovered March 31st, at a shop in Pigeon Forge.  Two individuals were taken into custody a short time later, and confessed to stealing the bank. 

Over the next few days five banks were discovered missing from shops in Sevierville, three from Gatlinburg, two more from Pigeon Forge, and one from the County. 

A cooperative effort by local law enforcement agencies revealed that the initial perpetrators were involved in the theft of all of the missing banks.
