Eagles Tennis kept their winning streak alive, defeating King’s Academy at home Tuesday.
The boys narrowly topped the Lions, taking the match 5-4 on victories from Wes Burkhart, Dustin Fain, Greg Korlin and Josh Gann.
In doubles, the Eagles top seeds managed to take down those of King’s Academy with Jake Gann and Fain winning decisively at 6-2.
The Seymour girls completely dominated the court, shutting out the Lady Lions at 9-0.
Maggie Dew, Andrea Markowitz, Abbey Atchley and Morgan Drinnon all recorded 6-0 victories, and the Dew/Markowitz doubles team did the same.
The tennis team improves to 3-0 on the year and will be in action again next Monday against Rockwood at Roane State. The match is set for 3:30 p.m.
