SEVIERVILLE – The Sevier County Commission will be on the receiving end of a resolution to levy a county-wide additional local option sales and use tax when it meets February 16.

The resolution made it unanimously on Monday through the county’s Education and Budget committees, after it was approved by the Sevier County School Board of Education earlier in the afternoon and sent on to the committees.

The County Commission is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Mon., Feb. 16, to consider the resolution.
