SEYMOUR – Potential Girl Scouts got a chance to sign up recently during the “Becoming a Girl Scout Day” at Ashley’s Dance Academy.
Girls from kindergarten through twelfth grade viewed Girl Scout literature and learned about badges. Others heard about the Girl Scout motto, slogan, handshake, quiet sign and friendship circle.
In another room, Girl Scouts and Brownies helped girls make the Girl Scout Law Bracelet, whose colors signify honesty, fairness, friendliness, courage and other attributes.
Girls can still sign up to join. The registration fee is $10, and financial assistance is available.
