GATLINBURG – Nearly 3000 teens and sponsors will return to Gatlinburg for their eighth annual youth event Jan. 29 to Feb. 1. Accelerant is an annual youth ministry weekend sponsored by participating conferences of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC).
Accelerant was formerly known as Fire & Ice. Officials decided to change the event’s name after learning that Fire & Ice was copyrighted by another group.
“We have had an ongoing mutually beneficial relationship with the City of Gatlinburg for the last eight years,” said Rev. Greg Amos, who directs the event. “The family atmosphere has proven conducive to our purpose of providing a spiritually uplifting retreat for young people while offering loads of options for fun and adventure.”
