Daughter seeks to understand mother’s death

SEYMOUR – All Catherine Sanders wants is a little closure – and a chance to say thank you.

Sanders, who lives in Marietta, Ga., visited the Seymour Herald recently with her husband, Steve, to talk about her mother, Carolyn Wilson, of Anderson, S.C., who was killed New Year’s Day in a horrific two-vehicle crash in Sevierville.

And she expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the local folks – police, emergency workers, medical personnel and travelers at the accident scene – who comforted and prayed for her family as they struggled to deal with a difficult situation.
