TOWNSEND – Smoky Mountain Quilters is once again teaming with sponsor Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to present the third annual Quilters Road Show at Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center.
It will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Jan. 10.
This popular event provides quilters and quilt lovers the opportunity to see quilts in the making, to have quilts appraised by an American Quilt Society certified appraiser, to have heirloom quilts evaluated, to learn both old and new quilting techniques, and to exchange stories and ideas with other quilters.
Returning for their third year are Merikay Waldvogel and Becky Harriss, who will informally evaluate quilts on the stage in the Center’s auditorium. They will offer preservation tips and discuss quilt age and patterns.
