A Sevierville man was arrested in connection with multiple rental cabin burglaries that occurred in the county.

Christopher Joe Lane, 23, of 946 Lakeview Road, was charged with 18 counts of aggravated burglary. Another 23 counts are pending the conclusion of the investigation.

According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department, the arrest was the result of an investigation of a television with a GPS unit that was stolen from a rental cabin in November.

The investigation led detectives to identify about 41 cabins that have been burglarized by Lane in the past three months. Detectives also searched a home on Flat Creed Road, where they recovered some of the stolen property.
