SEYMOUR – It was all that Sue Carr could do Saturday to get her grandchildren back into her car for a 10-minute warm-up as they waited for the start of the annual Seymour Christmas Parade.
“We’ve been here since almost 2:30 p.m.,” Carr said as Latham Carr, 5, and his sister, Bailey Carr, 7, snuggled in their Spiderman blanket for the 4 p.m. parade. “They enjoy the floats and the people and waving at everyone.”
As the crowd gathered near the edge of Chapman Highway, the parade began with police cars and flashing lights, then progressed to bands, floats, fire trucks and horses.
