GATLINBURG – Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, voted the Number One aquarium in America by TripAdvisor Travelers, will ring in the New Year with its “8th Annual Dance with the Sharks New Year’s Eve Party.”

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the undersea world of Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies while they party the night away with 10,000 exotic creatures, including 12-foot sharks.

The New Year’s Eve Party features two separate dance floors with an eight-piece band and DJ, an unlimited amount of  over-the-top  heavy hors d’oeuvres all evening, the Kid’s Educational Program, a personal souvenir photo, champagne toast and Gatlinburg fireworks at midnight.

“Our party is both unique and fun,” said Steve File, general manager of Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. “You can dance, eat, and party throughout the aquarium until 1 a.m., plus just prior to midnight we can all go out to the aquarium’s plaza and watch the city of Gatlinburg’s fireworks display and ball drop. It’s always an incredible event.”
