One of Gatlinburg’s most colorful and spectacular shows of the holiday season has scheduled free performances for the public.
The annual “Christmas on Ice Show” at the Ober Gatlinburg Ice Skating Area features 30 local amateur skaters, ages 4 and up, performing ice skating routines to traditional Christmas music, choreographed by rink instructor Devon Harman.
Show time is 7 p.m. Sat., Dec. 6, and 5 p.m. Sun., Dec. 7. Dress rehearsals will take place at 7 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 4, for spectators unable to attend the actual show.
The indoor ice skating arena is the centerpiece of Ober Gatlinburg’s 62,000-square-foot upper Tram Terminal and Mall. The ice arena, scenic chairlift, alpine slide and aerial tramway are open throughout the year.
