Sevier Pawn & Loan owner Laura Parton is promising confidentiality to anyone who will submit information pertaining to Friday morning’s robbery at the Seymour business.
Parton said there is potential for a monetary reward for anyone with information regarding the crime that leads to a conviction. She said although those close to the investigation have indeed pinpointed some prime suspects, the investigation is ongoing and any additional assistant from the public would be greatly appreciated.
According to Parton, the crime occurred in the pre-dawn hours of Friday morning when someone gained entrance to the business by busting out the front door at approximately 5:30 a.m.
Parton said the store’s alarm-system apparently interrupted the robbery and forced the perpetrators to flee with a loot of just eight-to-10 chainsaws.
Sevier Pawn & Loan has been in business in Seymour for over five years and moved to its current location beside McDonalds on Chapman Highway this year after operating at its former location across from BB&T Bank in its first four years of existence.
