David Verble & Citizens National Bank presented the Sevier County Public Library System Foundation Foundation with a check for $50,000 to help the SCPLS as fundraising continues with the “Extra Mile” campaign. The foundation needs to raise an additional $400,000 to reach the $11.5 million goal for the King Family Library.
"Citizens National Bank has always taken a leadership role in serving the needs of our community," said David C. Verble, President & CEO of Citizens National Bank. "We are very proud to support the development of a new library for the residents of Sevier County." Citizens National Bank is a locally owned community bank that has been serving Sevier County since 1973. CNB has over $754 million in assets and has branches in Sevier, Knox, and Jefferson counties.
“Citizens National Bank was one of the first donors to support the new main library project and I always appreciate Citizens National Bank.” said Rex Henry Ogle, President of the Foundation Board. “Throughout their existence they have been a great corporate citizen and have reached out to the community. This is just another wonderful example for what they do for people in our community”

Citizens National Bank has chosen to sponsor the Information Desk located on the second floor of the new library, which will be as a key service point for patrons in the new building.

The Sevier County Library System serves a growing population in three locations with more than 102,000 holdings. More than half of all Sevier County residents from all areas of the county have an active library card. This new main library will serve the entire county.
The new library will be 41,000 square feet, built where the King Lumber Company was located at the southeast corner of the intersection of Gary Wade Blvd/High Street and Prince/Railroad Street. It is close to two schools (Sevierville Intermediate and Sevierville Middle School, close to public access and close to other public amenities, including recreation, government services and parks.
