GATLINBURG, SEVIERVILLE, AND SEYMOUR, TN – The United Way of Sevier County invites you to shop at your local Food City store during United Way’s annual “Bagging for Tips” event.   United Way supporters and volunteers will be “Bagging for Tips” all day at the Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Seymour Food City locations on Tuesday, November 25th and “Bagging for Tips” at the Sevierville Food City location on Wednesday, November 26th.
Have fun while doing your Thanksgiving grocery shopping!  You could have Smokey Mountain Baseball team mascots Diamond and Slugger bag your groceries for you!  You could also see Sharky from Ripley’s Aquarium or Sparky the Spark Plug from Nascar at your local Food City store.
All the “Tip” proceeds will benefit the United Way of Sevier County.
 “Bagging for Tips” is one of the most fun events of the annual United Way campaign,” said Roy Marshall, Executive Director of United Way.  “We hope that the community will come out and take the opportunity to have fun with us while enjoying the great deals that Food City has for its customers this Thanksgiving.”
All proceeds from “Bagging for Tips” will benefit the United Way of Sevier County and its 27 Community Partners. United Way of Sevier County and its 27 Community Partners serve the needs of our fellow citizens in the following areas: strengthening & supporting families & people in crisis, supporting health & well being, helping children & youth succeed, enriching the lives of seniors, and responding to basic needs & emergencies.
When you support the United Way of Sevier County you are assisting your friend, family, co-workers and neighbors in need of social service assistance. The money given to the United Way, through special events, employee campaigns or individual contributions, stays local to help our residents.
