Every weekend from 12 to 5 pm beginning November 15th through December 21st at Store Pro Shops Santa’s Wonderland, shoppers can introduce their children to time-honored traditions of making crafts and holiday ornaments like turning pine cones into ornaments, making hand-made paper chains, creating Santa’s out of fishing bobbers, constructing fun reindeer hats, changing candy canes into reindeer and even decorating cookies for Santa. Again, it’s all free! A complete schedule of activities is available at Santa’s Wonderland.
And, since probably the most important part of Christmas is the lesson of giving Store Pro Shops can help you there too. Beginning Sunday, November 9th and continuing until December 24th, bring a new toy to donate to the Store Pro Shops Toys for the Kids drive. Toys will be collected in the grand entrance of the store and then distributed to the Smoky Mountain Children’s Home.
No one is giving more during this Christmas season than our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. You can show your support and appreciation to the troops by making a donation at the store registers to the USO’s Operation Care Package. You can then sign a personal greeting to be sent to the troops to show them how much you care. Monies collected are used to purchase items such as calling cards, disposable cameras, toiletries, sunscreen and more. You can also donate to AMVETS and support their efforts to make a difference in the lives of all American Veterans and their families.
The Store will kick off the season with a special Christmas Preview Night Sunday, November 9th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Local high school choir groups will be singing Christmas carols in front of the store and customers will be treated to hot chocolate and cookies. Santa arrives at 5:30 pm via a Tracker boat.
Kids will be invited to help Santa, through a little magic, light up the outside of the store, a big Christmas tree in the main entrance and then on into the store for the unveiling of Santa’s Wonderland.
The Store has also got big plans for Black Friday. They will be holding their 2nd annual Great Turkey Campout Thanksgiving Day starting at 5:00 pm. Customers are invited to bring their tents and campout all night on the parking lot so they can be one of the first in line to enter the store the next morning.
From 5 pm – 8 pm they will be serving hot chocolate, coffee, and smores around the fire pits. Every half hour they will be drawing for gift cards and customers can also enter a drawing for a $1,000 Store Pro Shops gift card and a $5,000 Shell gas card.
