Winners of four in a row going into Thursday’s regular-season finale at Austin-East, the red-hot Seymour Lady Eagles soccer squad said farewell to three seniors Tuesday on Senior Night at Seymour High School while also taking care of business on the field with a 7-0 win over Greenback in the regular season home finale’.

With a record of 13-5 overall, including a perfect 8-0 mark in league play, the Lady Eagles are in position to play host in each of their District 3 A/AA Tournament games next week. The Lady Eagles will host district tournament games next week on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Tuesday was an occasion to honor three SHS 12th graders who have made their respective mark on the school’s soccer program in different ways.

At halftime of the game against Greenback, Alanah Parrish, Tiffany Miles and Mary Mize each took turns basking in the spotlight in the middle of the soccer field facing the appreciative home crowd as the public address announcer read their individual accomplishments and the Lady Eagles’ coaches presented all three soon-to-be graduating young ladies with gifts. Each senior was joined on the field by their proud parents during the Senior Day ceremony.
