The Seymour Lady Eagles took care of business Tuesday night on the soccer field with a 3-0 win over county rival Gatlinburg-Pittman.
Seymour collected goals from Lauren Aucoin, Courtney Suttles and Lacy Vasallo to push past the Lady Highlanders in a game played at Seymour’s Benton Householder Field.
Both Suttles and Vasallo’s scores came in the first half as the Lady Eagles took a 2-0 advantage to the intermission. Freshman Aucoin contributed her score in the second half to give Seymour its final margin.
Seymour (7-3 overall, 4-0 district) has now won three of its last four contests, including a 10-0 district win over Harriman on September 2 and a key 7-0 district victory over Alcoa last week. The Lady Eagles’ lone loss of the past month was a 4-1 setback at AAA Powell in a contest that was actually closer than the final score indicated.
