With four relatively easy conference wins this week, the Seymour Lady Eagles volleyball squad improved to 17-6 overall and continue to roll toward the postseason with eyes on another District 3-A/AA regular season championship.
Seymour defeated Central and TSD Monday night at home and went on the road Tuesday to pick up wins against Cosby and Carter.
The Lady Eagles fell behind the talented Lady Bobcats 16-10 but rallied behind server Haley Huelsman to take a 20-16 lead. The visitors responded, though, and pulled back in front on their way to the 25-23 win in the opening game.
The Lady Eagles, who were coming off an impressive second-place finish in the competitive Volleydog Challenge over the weekend, were slow to get on track against the athletic Central club.
