The University of Tennessee Athletics Department will dedicate the “Lauricella Center for Letter Winners” in Neyland Stadium Friday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. The room is named in honor of former All-American tailback Hank Lauricella and his wife Betty. The dedication ceremony will be hosted by Bob Kesling and will feature remarks by Lauricella, as well as University President John Peterson and Athletic Directors Mike Hamilton and Joan Cronan.
“We are truly touched that the University of Tennessee is naming the Lettermen’s Room at Neyland Stadium in our honor,” said Lauricella. “It is my goal that this room will create additional opportunities for other former lettermen to stay involved and supportive of the University of Tennessee and its athletic programs.”
The Lauricella Center for Letter Winners is located at field level in the northeast corner of Neyland Stadium and will feature a large banquet space where former Tennessee student-athletes can reunite on football gamedays.
