According to Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals two Blount Co. men have been arrested for the home invasion of a Seymour residence.
Investigators say that on Saturday Sept. 6th 2008 at app. 9:08AM officers responded to a home on Maryville Hwy. after receiving a 911 call,
The call stated two white males had forced their way into an occupied residence.
The home was occupied by a female and her young child, who were asleep, and upon being awakened the woman confronted the perpetrators using part of a brass musical instrument and assaulted one of the suspects. The pair fled the scene.
The Victim chased the two men outside where she got the tag number from the car they were driving and gave it to police when they arrived.
SCSD Investigators went to the home in Blount County where the car was registered to and found Gregory Todd Lawson of 135 Dewberry Dr. Maryville. Lawson fit the description of one of the males and also showed evidence of being assaulted by the Victim.
Lawson was taken into custody at that time. Following an investigation at the Lawson home, Billy Joe Price age 34 of 135 Dewberry Dr. Maryville was taken into custody also.
Both subjects were charged with aggravated burglary and arraigned before a magistrate where a $10,000.00 bond was set. The pair is scheduled to be in Sevier County General Sessions court on Nov. 7th 2008 for a preliminary hearing
