The big guy up above is calling Virginia preacher Rex A. Sparks to the the Great Smoky Mountains.

Sparks, a 48-year old North Carolina native, has had life-changing conversations with the Lord before. Sparks spent the past 25 years working steadily as a Virginia school bus driver until The Big Guy Upstairs redirected his career-path over the mountains, through the woods and straight to the pulpit.

“I became a preacher five years ago,” Sparks stated. “I didn’t want to preach to start with but the Lord kept pulling me to it. I guess you can say I answered the Lord’s calling.”

Sparks currently pastors in Galax, Virginia, and has lived most of his life in Alleghany County, North Carolina.
