A suit filed in Sevier County Chancery Court this afternoon by Knoxville Attorney Herbert S. Moncier aledges violation by the county mayor and county commissioners.

The suit claims that Larry Waters unlawfully “rescheduled” a regular meeting of the Sevier County Commission from June 16, 2008 to June 23, 2008 and that the Sevier County Board of Commissions at an unlawful meeting made unlawful findings.

According to an email from Herb Moncier, the suite was  filed today on behalf of “Max” Watson and Peggy Marshall, representing a “Public Spirited Citizens of Sevier County”.

The 11 pager complaint states this is the first application of EXTRAORDINARY RELIEF IN THIS CAUSE.
